THE BELTON PROJECT with the Schools Art Patnership! (June 28, 2009)
After months of planning stage one of this wonderful project started last week.  The two lucky schools chosen to work together as partners were Abbey & Barkstone. From very different cultural backgrounds our aim to create a 'Tree Canopy' art installation for the new National Trust Discovery Centre at Belton House. 8 PROJECTS in just 3 days!!!  PLUS my challenge of creating three special art works to be presented to each school and one as a permanent installation at Belton House. All the children helped by finger painting areas of the sand, glass beads & opaque flakes used to create the butterflies, dragonflies & cobwebs.  The finished art work will be featured in the SAA Paint magazine but below you can view a few of the projects!
