Jan has a life long interest and passion for painting working for two years as the resident artist on a new venture set up by the Rural Training Centre, Owston in Leicestershire offering students experimental mixed media classes.
She was delighted to be invited by the National Trust to run a painting workshop for children at Tattershall Castle to celebrate their 90th Anniversay and created the Tree Art Canopy in the Discovery Centre at Belton House.
Jan exhibites locally with the National Trust at Belton House and in Fowey,Cornwall at The Toe in the Water gallery.
Jan is a Professional Associate of the Society of All Artists and her painting Jet & Pearls was exhibited at the Business Design Centre in London as a Commended Finalist in the Artist of the Year Competition in 2009.
Jan has won both the Broughton Cup, the George Harris Cup and was a chosen finalist in the prestigious Nottingham Castle Open.
